European Motor Distributors (EMD) was established in 1977 by Sir Colin Giltrap, bringing prestigious European brands to the New Zealand market and creating exciting automotive employment opportunities for Kiwis. Today EMD still remains privately owned by the Giltrap Group, who are importers, retailers and distributors of 18 of the world's best automotive brands.
With a people-first philosophy and a commitment to nurturing talent, the wider Giltrap Group proudly employs over 1000 individuals, many of whom have advanced their careers through various roles across the organisation.
